Thể Thao 247 - Over 500 days taking on head coach position of HAGL, Mr. Duong Minh Ninh’s team has just wrapped up 16 victories.
On October 17, 2017 Mr. Duong Minh Ninh from the club’s assistant becoming the head coach replaced for the former coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan.
Under the guidance of Coach Ninh in V.League and Vietnamese National Football Cup, HAGL had won 16, draw 10 and lost 10. As a result, the team reached approximately just 38% win ratio.
In 2018 V.League - the most ever energetic period of Vietnamese football, but Coach Duong Minh Ninh’s side gained just 8 victories, 7 draws, and 11 routs. Even there was the time when the club had to run the remaining level race.
In 2018 season, HAGL was one of the top scoring teams, just behind the runner-up Thanh Hoa Club (45 goals) and the champion Ha Noi Club (72 goals).
On the other hand, Coach Ninh’s side had the most prolific of the game in terms of conceding with 53 times.
This season, HAGL sets a goal to finish 5th at least. However, the team has had the abject displays when managing to win just 2 matches along with 4 failures after 6 rounds.
HAGL now ranks 11th on the table and Duong Minh Ninh gives up his spot as Hoang Anh Gia Lai's head coach.
