On the early June, Vietnam NT attends friendly games of King’s Cup in Thailand. This annual game once welcomed such celebrated players as Peter Schmeichel, Ronaldinho, Henrik Larsson, Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Brian Laudrup, Rivaldo and, Robert Lewandowski.
It is about 2 months left for the competition starts but at this time, FAT still on the tough way to seek the last invited team. The host Thailand NT, along with 2 guests Vietnam NT and India NT are bound to play in King’s Cup 2019.
At first, the host expected the presence of China team but they denied joining the game. Therefore, the organizers invited El Salvador from Central America.
However, according to the latest news, it is likely that the team from Central America can not take part in King’s Cup 2019 because they will attend in CONCACAF Gold Cup 2019 instead.
The very game holding for the squads in North America, Central America and Caribbean will kick-off on June 15 which is very close to the time of King’s Cup.
As a result, El Salvador prefer spending time to prepare carefully for CONCACAF Gold Cup rather than going a long way to Thailand for the friendly games.
Thailand has not found an opponent for Vietnam in King's Cup yet.
Dealing with the situation, Thailand contacted other 10 teams in Europe and North Central America. The result is that either Haiti or Trinidad & Tobago will be almost surely the left guests.
As the rules given by Thailand organizers, the rank of the FIFA table will decided pairs. Therefore, Thailand will face India, Vietnam will encounter with the other left team. As can be seen, Thailand seems to set up to face Vietnam in the final competition “on purpose”.
After the continual failure of Thailand, FAT decided to seek another Head coach for Thailand NT. Nevertheless, it seemed that FAT is in problem seeking European Coaches.
There were some names from German, Holland, Croatia, and England but they are all not interested in leading Thailand team. Therefore, FAT pointed a representative heading to Japan to seek for a Coach from this country.
