Thailand press has announced Nishino coach who has come to Thailand in preparation for signing the national team coaching contract.

After a very difficult time, Thai Football Federation found a new face to lead the national team.

It is the former Japanese captain Nishino Akira. According to photos published by Siam Sports, Nishino went to Thailand today (June 29) to watch the opening match of Thai League phase between True Bangkok United and Sukhothai.

Based on the information revealed by this newspaper, coach Nishino will receive a salary of about 20 million Bath per year. Mr Nishino is also the first foreign coach in Asia to lead Thailand.

Before the appointment of Nishini coach, Thailand had a headache of finding new coach of the team. Right after Rajevac was sacked , FAT has put Sirisak Yodyardthai in power. But he did not receive much support when he did not have a professional license from AFC as well as a poor lead in Thailand team.

Nishino Akira once led Japanese team in the 2018 World Cup, where he and the Green Samurai finished at the knockout stage and only lost to Belgium.

Mr. Nishino's mission will be the World Cup 2022 qualifying round, where Thailand is in Group 3 and waiting for the opponent at this July draw.
