Thể Thao 247 - Soh Chin Aun, Malaysia former head coach, suggests that a Korean or a Japanese manager take over position of its national team.

Football Association of Malaysia is hesitating on whether or not they keep coach Tan Cheng Hoe after AFF Cup 2018, a tournament that Malaysia went into the final and was thrashed by Vietnam.

Despite its considerable achievement, yet Malaysia’s place in FIFA rankings doesn’t change much. Soh Chin Aun suggests, “Korea and Japan surpassed us with a long distance.

For the managerial position of national team, why don’t we test Korean  and Japanese coach’s professional as well as learn from them to get a ticket to World Cup Finals”,

Soh Chin Aun, a former senior player of Malaysia NT, made more than 100 caps for the team and joined Olympic 1972 in Germany. After he left his profession, he started to lead Malaysia NT in 2008-09 season.

Tan Cheng Hoe, at present, will lead U22 Malaysia to take part in 30th SEA Games and World Cup 2022 Qualifiers. FAM wants to leverage its football and seemingly, Soh Chin Aun’s suggestion is not a bad idea since it works well in Vietnam.

Ranked 168th in the world, Malaysia will have to join the first qualifying round, facing Timor Leste.
