According to the recent draw, Becamex Binh Duong will compete with the Hanoi club at home in the first leg of the ASEAN final.
This match will kick off on July 31, 2019. The second leg clash between two representatives from Vietnam in 2019 AFC Cup will take place on the Hanoi FC’s stadium on August 7, 2019.
The winner after 2-legged match wins the ticket to go to the inter-zone semi-final, with the match facing Turkmenistan side Altyn Asyr- AFC Cup’ reigning champions. The first leg set to take place at home on August 20, 2019 and the second leg away game is scheduled to kick off on August 27, 2019.
The other match is between Bangladesh's Abahani Limited Dhaka Club and North Korea's April 25 Sports Club (4.25 SC) (leg 1: August 21, 2019, leg 2: August 28, 2019).
The format of AFC semi-final is quite complicated. Thus, in order to participate in the final tournament, one of the two representatives of Vietnamese football will have to pass 2 more challenges, which are inter-zone semi-finals and inter-zone finals with a total of 4 matches.
