The second qualifying draw of the 2022 World Cup and 2023 Asian Cup Joint-Qualifiers was held at the AFC House in Malaysia on Wednesday and Vietnam opponents are Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

At the battle on September 5, Vietnam fights against Thailand as a visiting team before returning to My Dinh stadium to welcome Malaysia on October 10. Five days later, Park Hang-seo will face Indonesia on their home field.
