Filip Nguyen’s contract with Slovan Liberec extended 2 more years

Slovac Liberec has extended its contract with Vietnamese-Czech goalie Filip Nguyen until 2022, according to the Czech football club’s website.

The 26-year-old Nguyen has done a splendid job and secured a permanent slot in Slovac Liberec’s lineup since he joined the club in February, 2018, said Slovac Liberec.

Nguyen was honored as the “Best goalkeeper of 2018”, following his 3 “Man of the Match” titles last season.

He was included in the Team of the Week two weeks in  a row.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) is gearing up to recruit the young talent, said VFF Secretary General Le Hoai Anh.

Nguyen will miss Vietnam’s World Cup 2022 qualifier against Thailand on September 5, however.
