In a recent share, Vietnam head coach Park Hang-seo affirmed that VFF and he will not rush to extend the contract which will expire on January 2020.
The contract has been a hot topic in recent time since Vietnam coach will be free to negotiate with the third party thereby, an extension is most expected from Vietnam supporters.
However, Mr. Park claims with South Korean media that he is not extending the contract yet. He also denies all the rumor on the successful negotiation and the extension.
In a Sport Korea report, Mr Park shared: “We don’t extend the contract speedily, we need time to listen to other opinions. We are rumord by Vietnam media that the extension will soon be signed yet it isn’t”.
Lee Dong-jun affirmed that VFF has not accelerated the contract yet while Park Hang-seo has not required any new term in the contract. However, he still hopes Park will be paid higher than in the past”.
According to Chosun, Lee Dong-jun said: “Park Hang-seo took Vietnam to AFF Cup 2018 championship, I hope he will be treated fairly however, we still consider Vietnam financial conditions”.
In the new contract, VFF also points out some important goals of Vietnam national team including securing AFF Cup championship, earning gold medal at SEA Games 31, Asian Cup finals 2023. Park Hang-seo’s representative has scheduled to visit Hanoi and work directly with VFF’s general secretary. VFF’s vice President for Finance assures: “VFF will be responsible for paying Park Hang-seo if we sign new contract, our opinion is to keep Park Hang-seo. Two parties will negotiate with goodwill. We got many plans, if VFF is unable to afford the money, I will step down.”
